With over 20 years of experience as a dental nurse and assessor, I joined Dental Nursing Academy 5 years ago, progressing to Managing Director in 2022. Passionate about student success and quality improvement, I enjoy working with my team and exploring new ways to grow the business. Outside of work, I love running, cycling, and embracing challenges—always putting others first, as my friends and family lovingly point out!

Viktoriia Zahorodna

Office Manager/Student support

Office Manager/Student Support Officer with 8 years of experience working alongside the team at Dental Nursing Academy. Viktoriia specializes in administrative duties, educating other employees and learners on using students portfolios and other organizational apps. Viktoriia is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

Preetee Hylton

Tutor/Safeguard Lead

Preetee is a restorative dental nurse and safeguarding lead at The No.8 Partnership Dental Practice in Chelsea, London. She is also a dental nursing tutor at the Dental Nursing Academy, an Associate (OSCE) Examiner with the NEBDN, and an editorial board member for the Dental Nursing Journal. Preetee occasionally features in BDJ Team and Dentistry.co.uk A passionate advocate for raising awareness about domestic abuse, she shares her experiences as a survivor at dental conferences and events.

My name is Atiqa, and I have over five years of experience in the dental laboratory field and dental surgery. As a qualified tutor, assessor, and Independent End Point Assessor, I am dedicated to helping learners achieve the best outcomes and successfully complete their qualifications. Passionate about all things dentistry, I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and daughter.

Anna is one of our super tutors and assessors. My name is Anna Lord iv been a dental nurse for 25 years, I'm also qualified as a sedation nurse also, spent about 5 years as a practice senior/manager then went on to assessing about 10 years ago, love helping and supporting learners through there qualifications. In spare time like to go to the cinema and the gym and weekends away.

Charlotte

Observation Assessor

Charlotte is our Observation Assessor, dedicated to supporting the development of Dental Nurses. Qualified since 2009, she has experience as a dental nurse, receptionist, and treatment coordinator. Currently, she works as an Operations Manager across two busy orthodontic practices while staying connected to general dentistry as a dental nurse assessor, a role she loves for keeping her tied to her nursing roots.

Carley

Observation Assessor

I’m Carley, a dental nurse with nearly 30 years of experience and 8 years as a tutor and assessor. As a workplace assessor for the Academy, I support students in the North, carrying out observations and helping them succeed in becoming registered dental nurses. I’m enthusiastic, caring, and supportive, and I love meeting students and seeing their hard work firsthand. Outside of work, I enjoy walking with my three dogs and visiting the Lake District.

Geeta

Tutor/Assessor

My name is Geeta Hirani, and I am a workplace assessor at Dental Nursing Academy with over 8 years of dental nursing experience and 7 years as an assessor. I am passionate about supporting students, sharing my knowledge, and providing detailed feedback to help them excel as dental nurses. Meeting students and dental teams during workplace observations and ensuring high standards are met gives me great satisfaction. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, cooking, listening to music, and spending quality time with my family.

Asmaa Mahmoud

Tutor/Assessor

Asmaa Mahmoud is an overseas dentist, Qualified dental nurse registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). In addition to a dental background, Asmaa holds an Award in Education & Training (AET). Furthermore, she is certified with the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. Asmaa brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and educational qualifications to the dental sector, contributing to both patient care and professional development within the dental community.

Peter Gibbons

I am a decontamination and cross infection qualified specialist with over 17 years working in the dental industry. I have worked within many different areas of dentistry; Orthodontics, Microscopes, Decontamination, Surgical and Endodontics to name but a few. I have also been delivering dental infection prevention courses for many years. Over the past 17 years I have written several published articles on Infection Prevention & Control and write a monthly column for Dentistry Online (ongoing).

Bappy, a software engineering graduate, has been an integral part of our team for nearly 3 years. His technical expertise, creativity, and results-driven approach have significantly contributed to our success. As a skilled problem-solver, Bappy brings innovative solutions to every project, making him a valuable asset to the organization. Always eager to learn and grow, he plays a crucial role in driving forward our vision and ensuring exceptional service.

Ruth

IQA

Ruth works closely with our Assessors and Tutors to ensure the delivery of your qualification is kept at a high standard. Ruth has worked in Dentistry for nearly thirty years and when she ‘s not busy she likes to read, watch sport and travel the world. Ruth is also a self-confessed crazy cat lady!
